Okay, so I am REALLY behind on the blog, but in my defense we have had a lot going on lately. Mainly the whole moving, working, life, and not having internet has caught up with me. So, here is what has been happening with us.
Happy Halloween!!!
Let me tell you, I have never worked with a group of people that love to eat like the Byram Middle School teachers....or 7th grade teachers. We love to find an excuse to bring food to eat together during our break. We KNOW how to have fun. So, obviously when it was Halloween, we all dressed up and you guessed it...brought food. I posted a pic of the food spread.
Ginger Harris, Coach Cleveland Jackson, Deborah Cliett, me, and James Buynar. You can't see it well in the picture, but Buynar has book written on his face. I think it is to indicate that his nose is always in a book, which is the truth. I was suppose to be the good witch of the Wizard of Oz, but it everyone thought I was Cinderella. Whatever works, I guess!
Corey's Senior Night
Corey's Senior Night
We can't believe Corey is a SENIOR! This is a picture of his senior night with his proud parents. Senior night for football was in the gym due to the monsoon outside that night. It rained like crazy. It was very weird to be back on Hillcrest's campus. Michael and I had not been to football game since he was a player and I was a cheerleader. So, we officially felt old. And, it was a whopping $7.00 a person to get into the game! We didn't even stay long enough to get our money's worth because it was raining so bad. We told the family to meet us back at our apartment after the game.
Happy Birthday Mrs. Karon!
So, after the football game everyone came over to celebrate Mrs. Karon's birthday. No, I am not saying how old she is, because I love her. It is so fun buying her gifts, because she has always had all boys, and now that I am around she gets excited when I give her girly stuff. Notice the bag! We had fun together. Oh, my mother-in-law LOVES candles, so we got her some candles and pumpkin salt and pepper shakers. Yes, I bought myself a pair too. They were too cute and I couldn't resist! We love you Mrs. Karon!
My former block partner is Elementary Ed. program, Kellie, is pregnant with a baby boy! She is so cute pregnant! She is due on Christmas Day. Talk about a great gift from God:)
We are HOMEOWNERS!
We have closed on our house and moved in it. We are still getting a few things settled. I will probably take pictures after I have decorated for Christmas. These pictures were taken the day after we closed, so nothing is actually in the house.

Mr. John, my father-in-law, told us we should take just one thing to say we have "moved in." We took the advice. Plus, we celebrated by going to Starbucks and getting our usual-white chocolate mocha and carmel frappacino. It is kind of a tradition for us. Simple things make us happy.
We are really excited to say good-bye to apartment living!
Three Down and One to Go
I have now finish New Moon and Eclipse. Both books are amazing. I can't wait to see the movie. Michael has promised to take me while I am off work for the week of Thanksgiving. I will have to say that I am on Jacob Black's team. I like him better. I want her to choose him in the end. I don't think she will, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. I guess I will find out in Breaking Dawn, which is yet to come out in paperback. So disappointing. I am going to have to borrow it from a friend. No one spoil it for me!
It took a whole weekend to move. Thank you to Brandon, Corey, and Alex for all your help! We couldn't have done it so quickly without them! The following Wednesday, after moving in, Dad and Nina took us out to eat to congratulate us. We went to Jerry's Fish House. It was really yummy. If you notice in the background of the picture, we do not have blinds. We did not have blinds for the first couple of weeks. It was like living in a glass house-no privacy. We got them in and Michael put them up that same day! We also have a fence up now. So, you know what that means! I am going to get a puppy! I hope. I have wanted a beagle since I knew the breed existed. Michael said that I can get one. I just hope it is really soon!

Well, as many of you know computers hate me. So, when tried to sign up for spring semester I couldn't. We didn't have internet at the time, and I was needing to get my pin number from my advisor, who e-mails to me through yahoo mail. Well, yahoo mail is blocked at work. So, I have to do all of this through Michael's phone! So, frustrating! The Lord must be teaching me patience. It is working. I promise.
Another thing, I noticed that my scalp was turning red, which is really weird. I didn't think anything of it. Michael had told me that I had dandruff and bought some Head and Shoulders Intensive Care. Well, the intensive part is accurate. Needless to say, my head got worse, and started to hurt as well as my lymph nodes. I thought I was having an allergic reaction, so we went to the MEA. They told me it looked like a staff infection. STAFF!!! What!!! Well, it ended up being a bacteria infection. They told me to stay away from hot tubs (that will be difficult since I am always jumping in a hot tub, NOT) and only take showers until it goes away. Plus, they gave me four different medications and told me to take Benadryl four times a day. If I took Benadryl four times a day, I would be in a constant coma of sleep. I just took it at night. I had to work. You can't work with middle school children with Benadryl in your system. What had happened was that the INTENSIVE shampoo had cleaned my head all right. It had cleaned all the good and bad right off my head. So, now I am using Johnson's baby shampoo with no tears. I am getting a lot better. I just have to take the pills until they are gone and drink lots and lots and lots of water. Mrs. Karon told me that they gave some pretty tough stuff. She would know being a nurse and all.
As for Thanksgiving, we are sticking around Florence/Jackson area. Michael doesn't get any time off, and I will be working on my Unit 4 project that is due at the end of the week.
Happy Turkey Day, LOVE YALL!
